As for the food, I've tried most of the things on the menu, and the food is far from bad, but it's also not near amazing. I suppose I went in with too high of standards, it all taste like something I could make at home. The burgers are kinda tasteless and I wonder if they season them.
I'd recommend Solomon's, but have appropriate expectations for all the parts of the experience.
A favorite local spot growing up in town. Good lunch options, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere. Always a friendly staff!
I've lived in Wilmore for many years, and I do like Solomon's porch. Full honesty though, I only go there for coffee, and only rarely because they have a sign that ask you to make all card transactions a minimum of five dollars. I don't carry physical money on me. Since I don't spend that much on coffee I feel discouraged to go in, since I don't spend more than five dollars using my card.
The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are wonderful.
Great coffee! Tasty menus for breakfast and lunch. Terrific freshly baked muffins, cookies, pie, etc. A diversity of special coffees and tea. A comfortable gathering place for friends. Super friendly owners.
I've never been somewhere that made me feel more welcomed than here. The service is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food and coffee is amazing. If I could wrap it all up in one word, I'd say it's amazing.
Solomon's Porch is one of my favorite coffee shops in the U.S. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere comfortable. My favorite thing to order is the garden burger with a little added pesto, but all of their food and bakery items are delicious, healthy, and freshly made with locally sourced ingredients. Check out some of the vendors items around the cafe and see if you can spot a few smiling townies who frequent several times a week!
